The competition is conducted across four progressive levels:

1. School Level
2. Interschool (District) Level
3. Regional (State) Level
4. Interschool Level

At each stage, students appear for a written test. Those who score 60% and above, or fall within the top one-third, qualify for the next level. Based on cumulative scores, three winners per category are declared at each stage.

Students studying in Grade 1 to Grade 10, from any public or private school in India, are eligible to participate.

Participants are grouped into categories based on their class:

• Most students register through their school at the School Level.
• Parental/guardian consent is required via a registration form provided by the school.
• If VK's Spelling Bee is not yet introduced in your school, you may send us your school details, and our team will reach out.
• Alternatively, you may participate through the Open Level Championship, conducted in select locations on scheduled dates.

From the School Level onwards, each participant receives an Admit Card with their photo and the school principal's signature.

Please contact the nearest VKES representative or help desk immediately. A corrected admit card will be issued promptly.

• Conducted in schools between July to September

National Level

• Conducted in schools between October to December

School Level

• Held at designated venues in January/February; dates communicated through schools, email, or SMS

Interschool Level

• Conducted in March/April, post academic exams; dates and venue announced in advance

All students from Grade 1 to Grade 10, from any recognized school in India, are eligible.

No. Registration fees are non-refundable once the registration process is successfully completed.

Registered participants receive study material for free at each level. Material varies by category and is provided after successful registration.
