Only students who meet this benchmark will be promoted, ensuring fairness and merit-based progression throughout the contest.
• Word lists for the written round will not be shared prior to the exam.
• The exam paper will not be returned to parents or participants after the test.

Only judges, pronouncers, and authorized volunteers are allowed inside the exam hall. No spectators, including parents, will be permitted during the examination. Strict discipline will be maintained to ensure a fair and distraction-free test environment for all participants.

Alphabetical Logic & Speedy Word Sorting – Alpha Track trains young minds to think like a dictionary, focusing on letter-by-letter comparison and quick, accurate word arrangement. Students receive 5 words and must arrange them in perfect A–Z order. By comparing each letter carefully, they learn to sort words quickly and confidently—just like expert readers and researchers!
Homophone Mastery & Contextual Understanding – Students sharpen their ability to choose the right word by sound and sense, mastering tricky homophones with the help of sentence clues. Students are given pairs of sentences with a blank and two homophone choices. They must pick the correct word that fits both meanings and spell it correctly—boosting both vocabulary and decision-making.
Develops vocabulary depth and precision by teaching students to replace words accurately based on meaning and context. Students read each sentence and select the best synonym from the given options to replace the underlined word without changing the sentence's meaning.
Expression Through Phrasal Verbs – This round unlocks the power of combining verbs and prepositions to build expressive, natural English—perfect for real conversations and writing! Students receive 5 phrasal verbs and craft one original sentence for each. The sentence must reflect the correct meaning and context. No copied examples—only their own creative and correct usage counts!
Polish the Sentence, Power the Message – This round transform young learners into grammar guardians, fine-tuning sentences for clarity, correctness, and meaning. Contestants receive 5 sentences with hidden grammar, punctuation, or usage errors. Their challenge? Spot the flaws and rewrite each sentence perfectly—keeping the meaning while fixing the form!
Figurative Language & Expressive Writing – Students dive into the colourful world of idioms, learning to express ideas creatively while understanding language beyond the literal. Contestants are given 10 idioms from the provided list. They must write one original sentence for each, using the idiom naturally and in the right context—showing they understand not just what it says, but what it means.
Interschool Level Written Test –
At the Interschool Level, the written test will include all the rounds conducted during the Regional Level competition.
What makes it unique?
The questions will be drawn from the preparatory material (booklets) provided at all three previous levels of the competition.
This comprehensive format ensures that only the most consistent and well-prepared participants move forward, while also reinforcing knowledge gained throughout the journey.
Oral Rounds (The Challenger Round & Grand Finale)
All words asked in the Oral Rounds will be taken strictly from the preparatory booklets provided to the participants at each level.
Students are encouraged to thoroughly review the material, as no all the words from the booklet content will be included in the oral rounds.
