Syllabus and Pattern
- Study Material:
Preparatory material (booklet) will be provided at the time of registration. All questions in the written test will be based exclusively on this material for each level. - Self-Learning App Access for Students:
Upon registration, every student will receive access to a mobile learning application.
Each contestant will be given a unique login code to explore the app and use it for self-practice and preparation.
All competition updates, notifications, and individual results will be available within the app for easy tracking.
Participation Guidelines & Transparency
Progression Criteria
Participants must secure 60% or above in each level's written test to qualify for the next stage of the competition.
Only students who meet this benchmark will be promoted, ensuring fairness and merit-based progression throughout the contest.
Test Transparency
• Word lists for the written round will not be shared prior to the exam.
• The exam paper will not be returned to parents or participants after the test.
• Results will be announced along with the marks scored at each level.
Exam Hall Protocol
Only judges, pronouncers, and authorized volunteers are allowed inside the exam hall. No spectators, including parents, will be permitted during the examination. Strict discipline will be maintained to ensure a fair and distraction-free test environment for all participants.

1. ECHOSPELL
Hear It. Catch It. Spell It Right!Strengthens listening, spelling accuracy, and auditory memory through active engagement. Students listen to a word once, echo it silently in their minds, and then write the correct spelling in CAPITAL LETTERS—training both focus and spelling accuracy.
2. PICK THE RIGHT SPELL
See It. Think It. Pick It Right!Sharpens visual discrimination and word recognition by training children to spot the correct spelling among similar-looking words. Choose the correct spelling from three options and underline it clearly.
3. PICTURE QUEST
Spot the Picture. Name the Word. Win the Quest!Builds observation, memory, and spelling skills by linking images to words in a fun, engaging way. Look at each picture carefully and write its correct name in CAPITAL LETTERS.
4. SOUND ALIKE
Hear the rhyme. Find its match!Strengthens listening and rhyming recognition—laying the groundwork for confident reading, spelling, and sound awareness. Match rhyming words from two sets. 5 pairs in total. Each correct pair earns 1 mark.
5. PATCH THE WORD
Fix the word by patching the right letters!Builds vocabulary and reading comprehension by helping students choose the right word to complete a sentence meaningfully. Read each sentence and pick the best-fit word from four options. Write the correct word clearly.
6. DROP A WORD
Drop the perfect word into its place!Builds vocabulary and reading comprehension by helping students choose the right word to complete a sentence meaningfully. Read each sentence and pick the best-fit word from four options. Write the correct word clearly.
7. MIRROR WORDS
Look into the word and find its opposite!Improves vocabulary and critical thinking by helping students identify opposites — building language fluency and logical reasoning. Write the opposite (mirror) word for each given word. Think clearly and spell correctly.
8. WORD CLUE
Use the clue, find the true meaning!Builds strong vocabulary and sharpens comprehension by helping students choose accurate meanings for given words. Read each word and its meaning options. Select the most accurate one.
9. LETTER HUNT
Spot the mistake. Hunt the right letter. Spell it perfectly!Sharpens spelling accuracy, boosts vocabulary, and builds focus by training students to spot and fix errors using clues. Find and correct the wrong letter in each word using the given clue. Write the correct spelling in CAPITAL LETTERS.
10. RELINE THE SENTENCE

Plug in the right word and power up your sentence!Boosts grammar, comprehension, and word usage by helping children pick the best word based on sentence context. Read each sentence carefully. Choose the correct word from four options and write it clearly.
4. LETTER HUNT

Spell it perfectly!Error Detection & Spelling Precision – Students sharpen their eyes to find the tiniest letter errors, boosting spelling accuracy and attention to detail using vocabulary clues. 5. PATCH THE WORD

6. LETTER LAB
Mix letters, make words, master spelling!Word Building & Creative Thinking – Students stretch their vocabulary, spelling skills, and imagination by forming new words from a single set of letters—enhancing both flexibility and focus in language use. From each base word, students use only the given letters (no extras!) to form as many valid 4-letter or longer words as they can. It's all about clever combinations, smart spelling, and fast thinking!
7. FIX THE MIX
Shape a perfect sentence from a messy mix!Grammar Mastery & Sentence Formation – Students sharpen their grammar, word order sense, and sentence-building skills by turning scrambled words into smooth, meaningful sentences. Each jumbled sentence is like a puzzle! Students read the mixed-up words, think logically, and rearrange them to form correct, clear sentences—boosting both grammar confidence and creative thinking.
8. WORD SENSE
Get the sense behind the spelling.Vocabulary Depth & Language Expression – Students go beyond memorization by understanding and explaining word meanings in their own words—strengthening comprehension and communication skills. Students are given 5 words and must write simple, accurate meanings in their own words. This encourages real understanding, sharpens thinking, and boosts confidence in using new vocabulary.
9. ALPHA TRACK
Step up in the right sequence!Alphabetical Logic & Speedy Word Sorting – Alpha Track trains young minds to think like a dictionary, focusing on letter-by-letter comparison and quick, accurate word arrangement. Students receive 5 words and must arrange them in perfect A–Z order. By comparing each letter carefully, they learn to sort words quickly and confidently—just like expert readers and researchers!
10. HOMOPHONE HUNT
Chase the word that fits just right!Homophone Mastery & Contextual Understanding – Students sharpen their ability to choose the right word by sound and sense, mastering tricky homophones with the help of sentence clues. Students are given pairs of sentences with a blank and two homophone choices. They must pick the correct word that fits both meanings and spell it correctly—boosting both vocabulary and decision-making.
11. SMART SUBSTITUTE
"Synonyms in action—pick the perfect match!"Develops vocabulary depth and precision by teaching students to replace words accurately based on meaning and context. Students read each sentence and select the best synonym from the given options to replace the underlined word without changing the sentence's meaning.
12. PHRASE CRAFTER
"Turn up your grammar game with phrasal verbs!"Expression Through Phrasal Verbs – This round unlocks the power of combining verbs and prepositions to build expressive, natural English—perfect for real conversations and writing! Students receive 5 phrasal verbs and craft one original sentence for each. The sentence must reflect the correct meaning and context. No copied examples—only their own creative and correct usage counts!
13. FIX THE FLAW
"Spot the error, fix the line — Every correction counts!"Polish the Sentence, Power the Message – This round transform young learners into grammar guardians, fine-tuning sentences for clarity, correctness, and meaning. Contestants receive 5 sentences with hidden grammar, punctuation, or usage errors. Their challenge? Spot the flaws and rewrite each sentence perfectly—keeping the meaning while fixing the form!
14. IDIOM IMPACT
"Say more with fewer words!"Figurative Language & Expressive Writing – Students dive into the colourful world of idioms, learning to express ideas creatively while understanding language beyond the literal. Contestants are given 10 idioms from the provided list. They must write one original sentence for each, using the idiom naturally and in the right context—showing they understand not just what it says, but what it means.
Interschool Level Rounds
Interschool Level Written Test –
At the Interschool Level, the written test will include all the rounds conducted during the Regional Level competition.
What makes it unique?
The questions will be drawn from the preparatory material (booklets) provided at all three previous levels of the competition.
This comprehensive format ensures that only the most consistent and well-prepared participants move forward, while also reinforcing knowledge gained throughout the journey.
Oral Rounds (The Challenger Round & Grand Finale)
All words asked in the Oral Rounds will be taken strictly from the preparatory booklets provided to the participants at each level.
Students are encouraged to thoroughly review the material, as no all the words from the booklet content will be included in the oral rounds.
